I, too, watched their awards show and enjoyed seeing the stars from days
gone by and their wonderful remarks about family and values. But I watch
very little of that network anymore as even inbetween the good shows,
I saw Howard McNear posing as a child's music teacher on Lucy last night; he
was very charming! As to disappearing guest rooms, the Taylor home
fluctuated several times in the number of rooms there; remember the Russian

I believe that same man who patted Opie on the head in reference to would
you like to have a baby? was the same man who was once pictured living
across the street from either Helen or Andy when she remarked that he was
staring while they were on the porch. But I don't remember if he had a cane
Mike, my Goodwill center has an attendant just inside the door who keeps a
lookout. I am so grateful as I can barely lift anything out of the car by
myself so they load it into a big wheeled conveyance. Now, if yours or mine
gets a soda machine, we must be sure to ask for nectarine crush!

As charming as downtowns in small towns can be, as a handicapped person I
fully appreciate the WalMarts so I can shop comfortably for nearly
everything in a mobility cart. There's good and bad in everything so we
should embrace all things for whatever purpose they are intended.

Speaking of Grit, when I was about 10 or 11, I sent away for a kit to sell

Concerning product placement, free ads, etc.: look at all the freebies big
manufacturers are giving away on Oprah, Ellen, etc. Those gifts are tax
write-offs with huge advertising rewards. In How Do You Know the couple
lavishly pour Cheerios into cereal bowls; I wonder if General Mills helped

Our cable lineup has a new channel on which I was able to watch Happy Days

Larry, I remember Ange laughing out of character and as himself (you can tell

Didn't get in on the Perry Como discussion earlier but I've been a fan since
a little child as my folks fostered a love of all kinds of music in our
home, beginning with the radio before we got a TV. I had always hoped to see

I would love to see Disney do an animated one of his nature woodlands book
