Thanks for the responses and suggestions.
I haven't checked out Google Analytics yet, although it was on my list.
In fact I'm heading down to Sydney in Sept for some training on it's use

that is specific for your project; process the client's data according
to that model; then transform the XML namespace into XHTML during the

Paul,
We use Google Analytics in-house and it is a good addition to log file
analysis.

You do get a lot more info on browsers and viewport size throygh the

One more thing:
the microformats mailing list

Is just as friendly and open as this one, just as easy to join, but has the

Hey Paul,
I'm not 100% sure what you mean by defining microformats as an xml
namespace, but I do know that the microformats community uses the x2v
stylesheets as the reference implementation for many microformats, including
hcalendar and hcard. http://suda.co.uk/projects/X2V/
That's about as close

Hi Paul,
Good question.
I am working currently on tesco.com and this is one of the ongoing debates
we have, inside W3C as well, as XSLT is used all over the place and we are
trying to achieve maximum accessibility and so on.
I am not aware that something 'standardised' exists on this matter as y
Hi all,
my first post, so: I'm Paul Minty, I do the IA, project management, some

Does anyone know of an effort to define micro-formats using an XML name

I do not know if this is off topic. If it is please excuse me. I have the

for Fire fox 2.x? If so, where can I download it? Thank you.

Yes exacly, I'm trying to avoid a higher select size

While googling again, doesn't seem possible as Dusan
told. Like similar issues with Mac OS browsers. Anyway

Css validator does not validate html. Maybe you got confused by the
fact that you can enter a link to an html file. All it does is, it
checks that html file for any css (inline or external) and validates
the css. And if I recall correctly, this feature has been around for
a while.
As Stua
I don't think this can be done. Some browsers (IE, Safari,
Camino, ...) use system default form fields and therefore ignore css
rules applied to them.

Do you mean something like:

...
where changing the font-height also changes the height of the select menu
dropdown box?

Hi,
When I go to the link you give, I read below the input form the following
statement:
"Note: If you want to validate your CSS style sheet embedded in an (X)HTML
document, you should first check that the (X)HTML you use is valid. "
which links to the Markup Validator.
To me this implies:
