Just don't forget - as inactive as individual board members (myself
included) may have been - the existing board is not defunct, and certainly
not ready to be so hastily replaced.
Due to the logistics of project "membership", a general election, I think,
just isn't feasible, because it involves debating who gets to vote and who
doesn't. And frankly, there are not enough current contributors (based on
the SVN logs and mailing list, which I still keep track of both), to even
suggest a full-blown board replacement.
I am, however, personally amenable to adding 1, maybe 2 people to the board.
But I don't think more than 2 (and only because there has only been visibly
2-4 developers, total, active in the last 6 months), is reasonable.
Regardless, procedures and rules for amending or replacing the board, are up
to the current board. As it stands right now, we are still discussing some
of the broader points of your election proposal, and we will attempt to
refine it into something that can both further current development, and
still represent some of us who pulled hard time here, only just months ago.
So be patient, and feel free to get involved in the discussion. The fact
that there even is a discussion, makes the SharpOS revolution a bit of
overkill... so bear with us please.
