Assigning lines to phones is for managed phones only. Any device that isn't managed (configs for the device generated by the PBX) does not need to have lines added to it.

Well, the fact that it rings tells you that the registrations are fine. To debug this, you'll need to trace the message flow and see what's going wrong. See: http://sipx-wiki.calivia.com/index.php/Display_SIP_message_flow_using_Si pviewer#Getting_SIP_Messages_to_display when you get the trace data, take a look at it using sipviewer and/or post the trace with a description of your configuration (identify components by IP address), what you were doing, and which call in the trace you're talking about (by call-id or frame number in the trace, preferably). Dropping that quickly usually means there's something wrong with the phones. > I also know a guy who runs an SCS and he said he just "assigns the > user to the xlite". You don't need to assign the user to an xlite - you just need to get the user name, password, and realm from sipXecs into the xlite configuration and all should work. _______________________________________________ sipx-users mailing list [email protected] List Archive: http://list.sipfoundry.org/archive/sipx-users Unsubscribe: http://list.sipfoundry.org/mailman/listinfo/sipx-users _______________________________________________ sipx-users mailing list [email protected] List Archive: http://list.sipfoundry.org/archive/sipx-users Unsubscribe: http://list.sipfoundry.org/mailman/listinfo/sipx-users
