Your logic is right,But,I'm in that group of picture takers that cannot
walk into a store with my film.That is,unless I want to go to the local
drug chain,or fly to LA or wherever.
As you might recall from some of my previous mail, I only use Kodak film
and mailers,therefore I am at the mercy of all who handle my film.This
could involve the local mail carrier,local clerk,truck driver,airline
employees,lab techs,etc,etc.Life is a gamble!
Over the past thirty years,I might have lost 7 or 8 rolls to this
process. 
 Railroad photography is a hobby to me,so I should'n get upset about
this.It is not worth it.
