I've had a look at your slides: http://blogs.sun.com/amw/resource/cifs_09_27_2007.pdf and some of the related PSARC you mention there are public. I've started by taking a look at PSARC/2007/064 http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/arc/caselog/2007/064/final-materials/spec-txt/ ..and that should keep me busy for a little while :-) And this particular PSARC also lists links to some useful reference/background documents.
