The process is documented and essentially involves reviewing the case materials for confidential or NDA content. It would not be good to publish something that was provided to Sun by a third party under NDA or in confidence. For CIFS, I will do the initial pass and and send my recommendation to the case sponsor. If modifications are required, I'll make the changes and provide updated materials to the case sponsor. Sun legal involvement would only be required if some license related question arises. I am not currently aware of any such issue related to CIFS but I will review the materials to make sure. All of the CIFS/SMB, NetBIOS and DCE RPC/MSRPC etc protocol information the team used is available on the Internet, and the architectural diagram is available in the slide presentation on the project page. The original CIFS case included the fast-tracks that are listed in the slide presentation but these were split off and processed as open cases. So there probably isn't much in the case materials that isn't already publicly available. > Alan, I see you have started a blog: > http://blogs.sun.com/amw/ > > It looks as it the jive aspect of the forums, is getting > confused about your identity: > As well as this profile: > http://www.opensolaris.org/viewProfile.jspa?id=78864 This is the identity I am using.
