I only came here for the money, the job. I'd like to see lower costs of living, which usually means lower taxes. I'd like to see a revitalized urban area, which means more places that a person wants to shop. Look at all the things that attract people to a spanking new suburban area and put them into the urban areas if at all possible.

Mary says: Okay, forget the funding. I don't want a stadium for a professional sports team. Period. If you could give me one for free, I wouldn't want it. What some team owner wants to do on his own private land is up to him. Whoever wants to go there and contribute or attend is up to them too. I view professional sports teams and their following as only marginally better than those who frequent casinos and racehorse betting areas. It's a fun pastime, but I don't think it's a good use of a person's entertainment dollars. I don't have any problem with people putting up casinos or race tracks on their own dime and in their way, each can be a very interesting landmark. A lot of people have a great time there. That's wonderful. Just like a lot of people really like professional sports. That's wonderful too. Let them go build a stadium somewhere they can afford it. Personally, I don't want one.
