Maybe I've been to hard on Chuck.

Maybe Chuck got his impression of how business's are
run by watching Thune; that's a mistake but it would
explain his lack of concern.

Most businessmen don't subscribe to the Thune school
of business Chuck.

See, when Kevin started Eagle Street, he didn't show
up at the city's STAR offices with his hand out like
your pal Thune did, he financed it on his own (how
unique!).

But if he did borrow from the city, he's the kind of
guy who would have paid back the loan on-time unlike
your pal Thune who needs a newspapers spotlights shown
on his books to know when to make payments.

Kevin also needs customers to stay in business, while
Thune's "Gallery" evidently does not.

I pass there everyday and never see anyone in there
but some of Thune's cronies using the space as an
office. Course most of the time the place is just
closed. Never have seen anything like retail business
happening in there.

And of course most businessmen don't see an elected
office as a fallback position and can't count on
landing any fat "consulting" jobs if their business's
fail either.

Nope, it's a lot tougher than Thune make it look
Chuck.

Hope this helps give you a clearer picture of what
being in business entails. No charge.
