OK, I've looked at this myself now...
The root cause appears to be the keyboard, it does "blank" if the
screensaver etc. was operational, but when you are using it and it
"locks" up - the mouse and keyboard stop responding.
You can "clear" the error by unplugging, then plugging the keyboard back
in and it then works.
I've read about a similar problem with the Type 7 keyboards, but this is
a UK type 6.
We have swapped keyboards, Sun Rays etc. Just seems to be this poor user
as well - other units seem OK.
Anyone had similar experiences or got any fixes? I did read there is an
updated firmware image available..
The updated firmware will recover better from keyboard errors. The fix will
be in 3.1 patch -06, which should be out in a few weeks. Are these Sun
keyboards,
or some other vendor's?
