So Pete, this S900 is OK but the one that follows below is still cranky?

So your 2nd S900 won't boot with all ram slots filled?  If you pull 1 
stick, it will boot OK? If it boots with 7 sticks for example, are all 
the slots recognized in the ASP as having a ram stick in place? 
Assuming the S900 boots with 7 sticks, you might try moving those 7 
sticks around to make sure what is in the ram slots agree with the ASP. 
I'm assuming one of the 8 sticks for some inexplicable reason is giving 
problems. I would be happy to send you off list the contents of my 
floppy as an attachment. Maybe we'll get lucky with that. Good luck.
