I disagree, you can't expect the Tech support to know everything
(DOS is rather dead according to the mainstream).
However a more "normal" question (such as asking the ISP for the DNS) should be
answered (most of the time you need to drag it out of them). If you
hadn't noticed I hate ISPs, if only I could use the InterNet without one! ;-)
In reality I'm almost there since I'm only downloading mail at home these
days - all surfing (including downloading large files) is done at
university (I can since today also take advantage of my sisters boyfriends
ADSL connection if there's something that can be put on CD (SimTel.Net
perhaps? or why not garbo, or cdrom.com's doom directories... ah... imagine all
the junk you can download with a fast connection ;-)

I can agree on that, it's better to say that you don't know then to make
