always willing to suggest Canadian stores to people who live waaaay out of town. On the other hand, wait a year until the ROM (royal ontario museum)finishes its renovations, in particular a floor dedicated to textiles, and it may be worth the trip. (and maybe someone else can convince the curators the difference
between tablet woven bands and inkle
woven bands) OH YES!
After all, the magnificent
GondarTapestry is housed at the ROM. Without the SCA where would
you even have the opportunity to see tablet wovens in Canada? (Okay,
Convergence was in Vancouver B.C. last summer but it will be a long time
before Canada will host it again.)
