Alex is a stellar musician. He's proven it in multiple styles already and he is VERY young for his musical temperament. A rare thing. I hesitate to attribute the view to just youth, I feel like in this medium youth or being new to a musical genre are near to the same thing. It comes down to a widening circle of knowledge and how much of it intersects what you don't know. The more you know, the more you're aware of what you don't know and you search in bigger swathes for the sounds you really hear. These guys will only get better as they are exposed to more and more music and better and better players. They have something special going up at Berklee right now. There are some amazing young musicians up there pushing each other to greater heights.
