We make our SIS product be the go to place for any data storage and updating. We have a nightly job that pull staff data out and puts it in a mysql database. That database has additional table fields we want to store for each staff member our SIS product does not. Then there's a web interface for staff to search this database. No documents are ever printed or distributed. If a staff member wants to be "unlisted" we set the "unlisted" flag in the mysql database. This has helped with our less paper mantra and the info is always up to date this way.

She makes any updates to it and sends it out as a Word and PDF document at least once a year (sometimes again in the spring if there are a lot of changes). For students it is easy as there is the student management system that can handle it. But right now for staff we have the paper copy that is added to in the offices, but not always put in an electronic format or in a central location. I really want to build a list for me to put in the phone system. We use Skyward for the Student side of things, I can't pull staff info out of the system, or at least not phone numbers, unless I am missing things. I really hate finding that the system was used and we didn't have staff phone numbers listed.
