That's like comparing purchasing a blank writing book and a "Franklin
Planner" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franklin_Planner). The blank
book can be 'purposed' to almost any task or workflow pattern, and can
be formatted to present information in whatever arrangement make the
most sense for that particular use-case. In contast, the Franklin
Planner has been pre-written to handle specific use-cases and
workflows, to which you must conform in order to get any benefit from
the document.

Of course, if you aren't interested in custom-designed uses, there
*are* "ready-to-use" general-purpose TiddlyWiki documents such as MPTW
and TiddlyTools' QuickStart documents... and there are also TiddlyWiki
documents that implement specific pre-defined activities, such as
MonkeyGTD and d3, which support the "Getting Things Done" time-
management model.

Interestingly, although these pre-defined documents are just as
customizable as any other TiddlyWiki file, many people treat them like
closed-source 'applications' and simply use the features and
functionality as presented, without any customization at all.

In summary: TiddlyWiki's default layout might be seen by some as a
having a lack of 'clarity', I see it as saying "this is a simple,
generic starting point" that encourages you to customize it to meet
your needs, in contrast to "this has everything already set up and
ready for use"... as long as your use fits a pre-defined pattern.
