Just to be clear, I use "master" in the non-vile sense.

So like "master of ceremonies."  (Now I have the "master of my domain", 
i.e. "The Contest", Seinfeld episode on my brain.)

The word "master" is so pervasive in many non-vile contexts, that it is a 
little hard to banish from my vocabulary.
