The accusations are commonplace for any magazine that both publishes
product reviews and relies on advertising dollars from manufacturers of
those same products.  It's just a fact of life.  Stereophile has always
been very transparent in addressing readers' concerns on that front. 
With Stereophile the more widespread allegation has always been in
regard to _which_ products are chosen for review, as the overwhelming
majority of reviews are positive and amount to free publicity.
