My friend,

When something is important to someone then why can't that person have it
important? I'm sorry if my marking urgent or high importance affect the
recipients. I'm classifying anything on my system. I think in all my mails
I've been polite and I don't think anyone was affected. If someone is then
I'm very sorry. If ever anyone feels that I've hurt them in any manner than
do let me know as I shall take care next time. In earlier instances I
understood and did make the change.

Please explain.

i think what they're saying is that your marking them as urgent
affects the recipient as much as you. It's not just about your
classification system on your machine it also affects how others'
mailboxes react.

that's what is meant by "being polite".
