From: "Blaine Borrowman" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> DaveH writes: I am just interested in knowing how some Christians try to narrow their definition of 'Christian' to eliminate those who have contrasting beliefs.
Blaine writes: Well said. This is a penetrating question, and I would like a response to it from other ttr's if possible. I am sincere in asking this. Judy, DaveM, Laura, Izzy, Kevin, Dean, Ruben, anyone? I am not trying to put anyone on the spot here, just want to hear from a few of you on this subject-- I think it goes to the heart of the matter rather succinctly. Judy: No problem Blaine and DaveH. The plumbline or line of agreement/separation is the Word of God. We either gather around it in fellowship or it separates us. Walking with God is impossible when we will not agree with Him. God Himself says through the prophet Isaiah "To the law and to the testimony; if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" (Isaiah 8:20). So this is how we know the called among us. One can outwardly appear to be a lamb but as soon as they open their mouth their cover is blown and they are immediately identified as a wolf by those who have spiritual eyes to see and spiritual ears to hear. Grace and Peace, Judy ---------- "Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer every man."
