Wrong, John. Go back and read the beginning of John's letter. He BEGINS
with teaching the perfection found in the Word of life. He then continues
with:

1 John 1:5-6
(5) This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto
you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
(6) If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we
lie, and do not the truth:

AFTER this fact, he shows how this is accomplished by the blood of Christ
cleansing us of all sin, and anyone who thinks they do not need the blood of
Christ to cleanse them of sin, are seriously mistaken.

John then takes up his motive for writing:

1 John 2:1
(1) My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not.

No, John. I am keeping the opening verses in the forefront by reminding you
of them here.

Wrong. John's point is that those who sin are of the devil and those who do
not sin are of Christ.

1 John 3:8-10
(8) He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the
beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might
destroy the works of the devil.
(9) Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in
him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
(10) In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the
devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that
loveth not his brother.

When God considers a person to be righteous, guess what. HE IS RIGHTEOUS.
I am not removing this passage from the context of "consideration in the
mind of God." I am illuminating for all of us what that means.

When God said, "let there be light," what happened? There was light. It
was not just a figment of his imagination. When God considered Abraham
righteous, guess what. He became righteous, even to the point of offering
his only begotten son upon the altar! God is not deceived and he is not
mocked. Whoever does righteousness is righteous even as Christ is
righteous. None of you will convince me otherwise because this is the
testimony of God himself.

I quote the Bible here so that those who are humble and with an open mind
might diligently study whether the things I teach here are of God. The
scribes and Pharisees will kick against the passages in an effort to justify
sin, but those who hunger and thirst after righteousness will be filled as
they believe God's Holy Word.

When we see that God considers us righteous, we are righteous and we live
like Christ. The one who believes will be established, but the one who
doubts will gender more questions and unbelief in those who will hear them.

Peace be with you.
David Miller.
