Thanks for the clarification,I didn’t recall seeing linux-hwe-6.17,
which is why I double-checked with uname -r.

For additional context, I first started seeing the problems after
upgrading from 25.04 to 25.10. I tried several fresh installs, and even
switched over to Fedora for a bit, but I was experiencing the same issue
there as well. Since the problem seemed to show up on anything running
kernel 6.16 and above, I went back to Ubuntu 24.04, which was still on
6.14 at the time, and it was completely stable for me.

This most recent installation of 24.04 was a very fresh install for that
reason, but the issue came back again after updating and moving to
kernel 6.17. I’m here and ready to run any steps you need, including
doing fresh installs. Just let me know what information would be most
helpful to collect next.
