No, I have not performed any power measurments myself. Power consumption will depend on the drive specifications. A flash drive will minimize power needs (I believe the nslu2 site has some stats), but limit storage. I am using a Western Digital 160GB External USB drive with manufacturers specifications of: AC Input Voltage 100-240 VAC AC Input Frequency 50-60 Hz AC Input Current 0.6A max (RMS) I have not made any adjustments to the standby timer (spin down), but this issue has been addressed in the nslu2 FAQ: http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/FAQ/SpinDownUSBHarddisks Airuck -- airuck ------------------------------------------------------------------------ airuck's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3114 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=18586 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
