Folk here have more faith in Windows than I do. :-) Microsoft just proved a few weeks ago that even a passive data file (.wmf files) is capable of launching a virus if opened by Windows. I've been programming for years; the bottom line is I don't trust Windows and I trust it even less if it doesn't get updated frequently.
