I am sorry but I disagree strongly with your statements. Putting a cheap Parallel to USB cable on my Epson 850 Serial & parallel printer was one of the easiest things I've done! Also GIMP print for Mac when used with the built in CUPS in Jaguar is a great combo. I will re-post my info on how i did this.
