I should have also noted that I didn't see the problem with a small misalignment of the tops in the Display Preference Pane; the tops had to be quite far apart. Also, what was strange was that just because the additional monitors may have been set to above the central MBP in the Display Preference Pane, it didn't always result in an 'offset high' situation - the Click occurring above the visible position of the Mouse. Sometimes it was offset high, sometimes low.
