That anim really looks totally awesome..!!!
Not only the animated displacement.. but the whole feel to it..
I can almost see the cool spaceships come and sweep the surface...!
It was certainly worth the wait..

btw.. was it intended with the overexposed whitish feel in the start of the
anim.. to fade the viewer into the anim...?

It's an old project revisited, actually just a little WIP that got out of
hand: setting the animation stuff took just half an hour or so but the
rendering more than 24 hours. Bump height is animated, increasing towards
the end and also increasing render times ;) but it ended up ok.
