Hi Arjo : Import . That whole mail was about trying to import objects into RS3D with textures attached . I have one program that exports .lwo (lightwave) so since RS3D doesn't do .lwo I converted to several for- mats with the 3D Exploration demo . VRML actually was the one format that did import into RS3D complete with textures displayed properly . So I am looking for a freeware converter that I can use to convert .lwo to .VRML (97) . I always used TB's 3DWin for converting but it looks to be commercial now (I think) . I'll try the new .3ds beta plugin as well and see if that works , which may open the door for workaround #6978353 . Thanks . studio > > Anyone know a good .lwo to .VRML converter that is freeware ? > > > > Kind of unrelated , but I was trying the VRML demo-plugin and > > noticed that all objects created are SDS type , which didn't make > > sense to me considering the texturing problems with SDS . > > > > However , I imported a VRML scene out of the object converter > > program '3D Exploration' (demo) and it imported with correct > > textures applied . > > > > Good news since all other attempts to import .obj or .3ds with > > textures failed in RS3D (spent the afternoon trying) .
