Well, then it is the usual case of confusing to completely unrelated topics, which are: - dictionaries pre-installed and/or downloadable and - the user-dictionaries which can be editetd by the user via the UI The 'standard' dictionary is one of the latter and thus what I have said does not apply to it! User dictionaries (the writable ones!) are locate in the user-layer of the installation in the user/wordbook sub-directory. You can make backups of those by simply copying them.
