Marco,

Your initial proposal was as twofold:

1) you asked the moderators to reject messages
without a decent
subject
explaining the reason why messages were rejected.
2) you asked the volunteeres to stop replying to messages without a decent
subject.

My understanding is that both proposals received some pushback from the one
or the other volunteer, hence my suggestion for a further attempt.

Without reading the thread in detail it seems that some consensus exist on
a) replying to messages changing the subject to something meaningful when
needed
b) notify people who post messages without subject that they need to insert
one.

Now, it seems to me we have two options (mutually exclusive):
1. ask the moderators to reject the messages without subject providing the
standard reply explaining the reason for the rejection.

2. have a gentlemen agreement among the volunteers that when replying to
messages with no subject, it should be changed to something meaningful

So Marco, what is your preferred approach? As already stated, I will support
you if you make a proposal in either direction (my preference is option 1,
using option 2 not for empty subject messages that will no longer exist but
for not so good subjects).

Cheers,

Michele
