Yep, 9500 miles on my max. I'm on the 3rd clutch.....well the 3rd time I had to
dissassemble.
The 3rd time I just sanded the steel and check the tolerences of the friction.
The steel was all
blued. I just put it back together with the "DD" to get me to the end of the
season. I have all
new parts sitting in my garage cabinet. I really don't understand why I keep
taking out clutches.
Ive checked everything out with a micrometer. Everything is within OEM
tolerences. The "DD",
so far, is the only thing that holds up. I DO NOT beat on my max. I usually ride
like an old
lady..until edged on ...of course. Yes, I drag raced a few times but still don't
understand why
I keep taking out clutches. So far...like clock work...every 4000 miles...go
figure...
