My bike only made 107 ft/lbs of torque, but, I've got over 3 years on my
clutch so far. I did the double-D (2 springs), and replacing the last 1/2
friction disk with a full one, & removing the wave washer. And believe it or
not, I've run synthetic Mobil1 "V-Twin" 20w-50 oil the whole time. I take it
to the drag strip only two or three times a year though, but, even in the
heat of the day, my best e.t. & mph came after about 6 passes.
"Chromie" Paul Beaumont has the lockup clutch on his turbo Max. Ask him if
he has had good luck from his setup. For someone who drags their bike
regulary, I would think that this would be the way to go anyway. But, what
do I know?!
