I think you'll want to bolt the trans in loosely (with the CV's on the 
flanges) to determine the location and depth of the bend.
You could use some heat to make it easy to form.

Might require some thought as to keeping the CV perpendicular to the horns 
when you start pressing so it does not want to kick out sideways.  Perhaps a 
bracket that bolts to the press somehow?
