Navigon, TomTom, and a few others have added features useable by the blind. This is about the best we're going to get unless we go with a company focused on access for the blind. That said, most companies focused on access for the blind do not know how to design for the sighted. Apple is one of very few companies which has figured out how to do both successfully.
In my experience, having worked on both sides, it is actually easier to get the mainstream companies to adapt themselves.
