They were able to expose Valerie Plame because she worked for them. She was an employee of the U.S. Federal government. They knew about her. They have no knowledge of the engineers and physicists in all the countries in the world who will develop cold fusion. They do not have a list of the people who have downloaded papers from LENR-CANR.org. There are probably ~500,000 people who have downloaded papers, and I know for a fact that hundreds of thousands of them are in other countries where the U.S. government has no authority and no power in other countries. It cannot even compel the authorities in Hong Kong or Moscow to hand over Edward Snowden. How on earth do you think it will compel engineers in Chinese companies to stop working on cold fusion devices?!? Do you think anyone in the Chinese government would stop working on cold fusion because someone at the DoE asks them to? The Chinese government will not join the U.S. government in this war against cold fusion for one simple reason. They will understand -- as I do -- that if they develop cold fusion, and the U.S. does not, in 30 years they will military capabilities far greater than ours. They will be able to destroy us in week or two at no risk to themselves. They will have the kind of technological advantage the U.S. had in the 1898 Spanish American war. You can suppress cold fusion by destroying people's reputations when a only a handful of retired professors know about the subject. When everyone in the world realizes cold fusion is real, such tactics would be like trying to empty out the Atlantic Ocean with a plastic bucket. - Jed
