It's not the affair that is the problem. If he wants to deny it on
TV or lie straight to Hillary's face, fine. Any other married man
might do the same. But doing so *under oath* is the real crime. It's
not the affair, it's the principle behind his judicial actions.
The question remains whether it is an impeachable offense. I doubt
it. Let's just slap the guy around a bit and then get back to
running the country (and picking the next slug to lead us through
the millenium).

If he's getting diddled while on the phone to my congressman,
doing a job that the taxpayers are paying him to do, I think it
crosses the line into 'public view'. He could have exercized just a
bit more caution. Have an affair, sure, but doesn't he realize that
everyone is out gunning for him, looking for the slightest bit of
dirt?
I think what bothers me most is the hypocritical attitude of the
American public. From a sex standpoint, if I were an employee or
employer doing same, I might be fired and/or sued. But this is the
Presidency and things are running well, so it is OK? And the very
same people who are saying that he is not paid to be a role model
are the ones who complain when Charles Barkley (basketball star)
sets a bad example by throwing some guy through a plate glass window.
What does this say to kids? If you want to be a screw-up yet get off
scott free, just get into politics?

No, he did that to himself, thank you very much.

Again: IT'S NOT THE AFFAIR THAT IS THE PROBLEM. He doesn't have to
apologize to a nation for the indiscretion, but he should have to
answer to the lies -- err, "misleading remarks" -- he told under
oath.
