I'd like to think our Linux Users' Group is typical. Every month we have a
Linux Installation project and Over the course of 4 hours we install RH5.1
or Debian on anywhere from 20 to 30 Computers.
This in and of itself doesn't seem remarkable until you see that we usually
have 3 monitors (maybe four) and newbie's simply bring in their boxes. We
attach them to our monitors and off we go. So... Given an unknown set of
hardware, a bit of experience and a few sets of CDs we manage to get 20 or
30 people out the door with fully functioning Linux boxes with a complete
X Windows System installation.
It's not as hard as some might think. Also, for $20 you can walk away from
the meeting with 6 to 8 CDs containing most of the latest archive files and
Demo programs from the Sunsite Linux Archive. (not to mention a few billion
lines of source code if you're into tweaking)

a father's love for his child.
