It looks, from the whois record, as if InterNIC did their job over a month
ago.  However, the servers specificed as primary and secondary DNS
(netiva2.netiva.com and netiva1.netiva.com) don't seem to have been given
any information about any machines in the oceanodyssey domain.  Time to
have a little chat with the techies at your friend's provider.
