Dear wesnoth devs,
It saddens me to write this, but I have been
spending less and less time keeping up to date with
wesnoth's development and so now has come the time to
admit the obvious and remove myself from the wesnoth
developers mailing list.
I'm very very happy that wesnoth has reached 1.0,
but after two years of being active in the community,
I've found myself more interested in other things. I
just don't have to time to follow everyone's
discussions on the current state of Wesnoth. Still,
it's been a heck of a ride and I really appreciate all
the wonderful people I've gotten to know. Before I
left I just wanted to acknowledge how greatful I am
for everyone's help and support in developing Wesnoth
and with my own campaign. The Wesnoth community is a
testament to the power of the open source model.
I'm also afraid I won't have time to moderate the
wesnoth forums, I encourage other interested
developers to take my place. I'm not disappearing
forever, I expect that I may pop up on the forums
occasionally, and I will work to keep UTBS is decent
shape. But I don't want to feel forced to keep up to
date with all your discussion and so I'll be a lot
happier as just another user.
Best of luck with all the future development. I'm
sure there's still a lot of great things that can be
done with Wesnoth.
Thanks,
Asa (aka quartex)
