Your description of how the name was changed is a bit misleading. It was
changed as soon as other people noticed your translation: that is, only
a few weeks after the initial translation was added to Wesnoth's
repository. The first translation dates from September 9 2006, and the
name was changed on October 6 2006.

Other than that, I think you are addressing the wrong audience. If you
want to convince someone that Valencian and Catalan aren't the same
language, you should write a paper and try to get it published. I'm
pretty sure most Wesnoth developers don't care about it (next time
please write to wesnoth-i18n instead).
