I think you underestimate the number of people who use the internet for just
email and basic web surfing - whose life is not tied to online 24/7... and
you don't know my sisters. :) They don't have cable tv... why would they
want HDTV streamed over the internet? :) There are a heck of a lot of people
like my sister/sister-in-law who don't use a lot of bandwidth but who want
faster-than-dialup. Yes, devs will create bandwidth hungry apps, but there
is a large group of people who don't care and will be the last to adopt
them.

being able to get streaming HDTV feeds?  It used to be that being "online

internet *THAT*MUCH*?-- but now 24/7 connections are the norm for most
more-than-dialup channels.

Give them bandwidth and they'll find a way to use [or perhaps "waste"
