Right. We know that IE7 did not work and she did specifically mention Firefox as well. In this case I don't think support was any part of the issue as I doubt that they support any browsers, including IE....you know"you will have to contact Microsoft for support as we have no control over how your browser works and it's not our problem"(no matter what happened).

And, yes Andy, I should have said CS as she really fit the profile.

That was the interesting part, Jim. She claimed that the supported no other browsers other than IE6.

Often when you hear this, it means that is the only software they will provide help for. It generally doesn't mean that the other software won't actually work. (Although, this time, that may be the case if a non-IE browser isn't working on their banking site.)

For example, my ISP only supports OE as a mail client, but any POP client will work. It just means that OE is the only one they will help set up or troubleshoot. I remember calling them about an SSL problem, and when asked what I was using, I made the mistake of saying, "Eudora". The response was, "We don't support Eudora." <sigh> I had to call back and make sure I didn't say "Eudora". <LOL>

What if the hokey-pokey really is what it's all about?
