It's a big issue, and here's the main points that has spurred most of
this:

1. W4L 1.0 was released and people bought that, 2.4 kernel wasn't out yet,
   but on it's way.
2. W4L 2.0 was released and poeple bought that or got an upgrade for free,
2.4 kernel still wasn't out, but still on it's way.
3. Kernel 2.4 was released and questions regarding the availaibility of a
patch for 2.0 were abound. At this point is when expectations were
misset by netraverse support. I say this because it was NOT said
at the time that 'there will be no 2.4.x support for 2.0', rather
'2.4.x support will be available when 2.4.x has stabilized' and
messages like 'we have people working on it' were broadcast from
   netraverse.
4. Many weeks and months went buy with no report of what to expect.
5. Finally word of what to expect was sent and it was this:
'W4L 3.0 is going to be released. Here are the features. Those who
bought w4l 2.0 will get a free upgrade, those who bought 1.0, it is
still being worked out what we can do. Keep watching. W4L 2.0 will NOT
get a patch up to 2.4.x, rather 3.0 will be the only supported W4L product
for the 2.4.x kernel and the 2.2.x series patches will continue to be
maintained for both 2.x and 3.x'
6. Here we are now.

These are the facts as I can tell what's happened up to this date.
