Grant,
We all defend your right to ask the question. It's a question that's been
asked a few hundred times here over the last 6 or so weeks. I'm suspecting
that you weren't here for all of that. That's OK. You have the right to ask.
However, NeTraverse is a company, and as such has a right to decide on
when and where they will comment on future products, capabilities and
prices. If they have chosen to delay that, for whatever reason, that's their
decision. We, as users, may not like it, but that is their right.
Like you, I'd like to know the price of my upgrade, but I suspect that
like you I'd much prefer to know the capabilities of the product. I don't
think there's a lot of value in knowing it's $9.95 or $49.95 without knowing
what it's going to do.
Different than you, I don't care AT ALL about 2.4 kernel support, so
we're waiting to see how NeTraverse positions this next revision.
Again, I defend your right to ask the question. We've been doing that for
200+ emails before you. ;-)
With best regards,
Mark

Subject: Re: [Win4Lin-users] Upgrade pricing structure.
Sheryl,
I am not looking to burn anyone.
If Mike feels in anyway offended by me asking "Whats it gonna cost",
please forgive me. That was never the intention.
The original mail I sent, was simply a question, if Netraverse choose to
answer it is of course entirely up to them.
Why myself ,and others may appear to be quite restless is the change in
policy from Netraverse, with regards beta testing & pricing.
Perhaps a little more openess, which is the at the heart of the linux
community (perhaps you have forgotten) would be very welcome.
Please do not forget that without us, your customer, you would not exist!
Regards,
Grant
