I'm not sure if you gave all this info.

1.  Was this the Apache Version that came with the Mini?
I thought you said yes, and if so and this is a new one, Apple should
support it.
2.   If this is not a new mini, is it an intel or pc one and I've
had to strip out 64 bit code to get Apache to run on older ppc machines
and just want to see exactly what architecture you are using.   I assume
it's Intel based as I ssee the X86 type.
3.  Another Option is the Xserver license from Apple which includes
    an Apache build and really nice admin tools and functions.
4.  To note while Apple is discontinuing the Xserve 1U flat server,
    they are still selling Xserver in a MacPro tower configuration and
    mini configuration.
