Mike, I apologize for butting-in so much but I think by writing "Self/Buddha Nature/Awareness..." and presumably equating them is a big error. 'Self' is not the same as Buddha Nature. I'm not sure what you mean by 'Awareness', but if you mean what I think you mean, just awareness and nothing more, then I agree that could be equated with 'Buddha Nature'. But not 'Self', unless I'm misunderstanding how you're using that term..
