Could we move those major changes into ZODB 3.10 and create ZODB 3.9 with only modest feature enhancements, then use ZODB 3.9 with Zope 2.11?
Aside from any changes I might make, I definitely would need to review your patches before they went in.
I think that there already other major changes in 3.9 and I'm not anxious to rush it out. I guess I'm also not anxious to stand in the way, although I am anxious about the seemingly increasing velocity of changes in a system that needs a lot of cleanup.
