Another update. Three things:
* I committed the second fix for the noteoff bug. Tracks now end when
the composition ends. Now we're getting the thing where the composition
unexpectedly lengthens by a bar, but I think that's old.
* I was able to find a case where volume was set to 0. This happened
when I immediately exported the MIDI without first playing the
composition. For bwv-1060-trumpet-duet-excerpt I first "Manage MIDI"
because it doesn't automatically set up for my sound card. When I
exported without doing that, I saw the volume 0 bug. But the composition
wouldn't have sounded anyways.
What seems to be happening is that when the device has a default volume 0,
and the exported MIDI file gets that controller setting too. And it
should get the controllers. So ISTM it's really a problem about devices'
defaults. If I'm right, there's no case when it plays OK but exports
silently.
* And this reminded me of something I have been putting off: Making
markers export too. That requires a new mapper type but it doesn't seem
difficult.
