As it happens, I was able to do it so that it is both correct in timing
and still inserts tempo indications.
bwv-1060-trumpet-duet-excerpt was a fortunate file to try this on, because
in the course of doing this, I uncovered a bug in my earlier code (and
thinking).
You see, bwv-1060-trumpet-duet-excerpt puts tempos at some funny times.
Its first tempo is at a negative time. I thought that I had fixed it by
inserting the default tempo. But today when I sorted tempos, it became
wrong again.
Why: because the default tempo was the wrong one. Inserting it
accidentally succeeded by pushing the first real tempo to time 0, where it
could be seen. So I made TempoSegmentMapper always insert a tempo at time
zero, and figure it out specially. Hopefully neither problem should
recur.
I wouldn't have caught that otherwise.
