I sort of blew right past the tempo handling without commenting.  With the 
caveat that exported files are only readable by Rosegarden, what you did there 
looks like just the ticket to me.  I call it a nice success!

We'll have to try some files that are both more complex musically and have 
more subtle use of tempo ramps to make sure everything continues to be 
plausible under more extreme circumstances.  I'm not sure how it will all fold 
together when there is a tempo ramp occurring where there are also big 
differences in rhythm between parts at the same time.  It might come out just 
fine, and hopefully it will, but we should check.
